The Promised Neverland is a manga written by Kaiu Shirai and drawn by Posuka Demizu. It has been published in Weekly Shonen Jump since August 2016. The story begins by showing the daily life of Emma, an 11-year-old orphan girl who lives in an orphanage called Grace Field House. She, along with all the children, are cared for by a charitable woman they call Mama, who cares for and loves them all. In their daily lives, the children drink coffee, take the Intelligence Tests, play in the backyard and in the forest that surrounds the orphanage.
