Heaven Official's Blessing is an anime produced by Chan Ka Lam. The plot takes place 800 years ago, Xie Lian was the crown prince of the Xianle kingdom. He was loved by his citizens. He ascended to heaven at a young age; however, due to unfortunate circumstances, he was quickly banished back to the mortal realm. Years later, he rises again – only to be banned again a few minutes after his rise. Now, 800 years later, Xie Lian ascends to the heavens for the third time as a laughing stock among the three kingdoms.

In order to accumulate merits to make compensation, he has to go to the mortal realm and eliminate ghosts. In the mortal realm, he is accompanied by two immortal petty officials of unknown origin, and on his first assignment, he meets a mysterious demon named Hua Cheng who rules the ghost world and terrorizes the Heavens. However, unbeknownst to Xie Lian, Hua Cheng has been paying attention to him for a very, very long time. In a series of incidents, the past of the Heavenly Gods that looked glamorous but dark was gradually revealed.
