Based on comics published on the internet and which later became a series of books by author Alice Oseman, Heartstopper presents us with the romance lived by young Charlie Spring and Nick Nelson.

Charlie (Joe Locke) is a very dedicated student, but he has been constantly bullied at school since he came out as gay, which has resulted in a very shy and insecure personality lately.

Nick (Kit Connor), on the other hand, is super popular and loved for being an excellent rugby player. As the two begin to sit next to each other every morning, they develop an intense and unpredictable friendship, growing closer every day.

Charlie soon realizes what he's feeling for Nick, although he understands that falling in love with a friend, even a straight one, can end up being a big bore. However, Nick is also on the fence about how he feels about Charlie. Who knows maybe the two boys are about to discover that love can work in amazing and surprising ways.
